What is Circular?

Circular is a hand-catalogued web directory. A curator reviews each submitted site and places it in one of 22 subject sections. The result is a clean, browsable index of working websites — built by hand, not by algorithm.

Is it free to list my site?

Yes, entirely. There is no fee to submit a site and no fee to browse the catalogue. Circular has been free since it opened and will remain so.

How are sites organised in Circular?

Sites are grouped into 22 subject sections, from Companionship & Intimacy to Travel & Discovery. Each section covers a broad topic area; the curator places each entry in the section that best fits its primary subject.

How do I submit a site?

Visit the Add page, enter your site's URL, choose the section that fits best, and submit the form. The curator reviews every submission before adding it to the catalogue.

How long does review take?

The curator aims to review new submissions within a few days. If your site is accepted, it will appear in the relevant section with a title, direct link, and short description.

What kinds of sites does Circular accept?

Circular accepts sites that are operational, have a clear subject, and fit into one of the 22 catalogue sections. The curator may decline submissions that are thin on content, parked, or duplicates of existing entries.

Can I update my listing?

If your site moves to a new domain or changes its focus substantially, contact us through the site and the curator will update or reclassify the entry as appropriate.

Why is my section called "Miscellaneous & Sundry"?

Miscellaneous & Sundry is Circular's residual section — it holds sites whose subject is genuine but does not correspond to any of the other 21 headings. Being listed there is not a lesser placement; it simply means the site's topic is specific enough to resist easy categorisation.

Colophon

Circular is a web directory assembled the old way: a curator looks at each site, decides where it belongs, and places it in one of 22 subject sections. There are no click-through rankings, no paid placements, and no algorithmic sorting — just a clean, readable index of 835 working websites. The 22 sections range from Gaming, Betting & Chance to Travel & Discovery, covering the practical and the esoteric in equal measure. Every entry has a title, a direct link, and a short note on what the site does. Circular is free to browse and free to join: if you run a site that belongs somewhere in the index, the submission form takes less than a minute. The curator reviews each submission before adding it, which keeps the index accurate and the categories coherent.
